Alcohol & Drug Recovery
Making Changes is a modern-day, transformational programme, created and delivered by people with lived experience of addiction and recovery in the corporate world.
We provide services to:
- High Achieving Private Clients
- Charity Service Users
Private Clients
Are you a high achiever? Whether in law, corporate finance, sales, construction? The list can be endless – you may even work in mental health or as a GP – what is common here? Addiction does not discriminate.
There is often a time in your life when you feel you need to make a change. If that change is as a result of alcohol or drug misuse, then we can help. Having been through this journey ourselves we're knowledgeable and able to provide a long-term programme that helps transform your outlook and approach to life so that you don’t want to use alcohol or drugs again, let alone need to. Our methods will help you discover your true self in a healthy, exciting and safe way. Making Changes is designed to help you take the steps to recover from addiction, whether it's mild, problematic or severe.
Often, stopping the use of alcohol or drugs can be achieved but the question that can loom is, “what now”? Without the answers or a new approach to life, we usually revert back to what we’ve always done – drink or use again, regardless of the negative consequences. The evidence and research is very clear – in order to change for good, a long-term approach has to be taken and long term, significant change is what we specialise in.
When it comes to your own journey, we're here to help you make the core changes you'll need to recover. We don't only address your alcohol or drug issues, we go beyond that and completely change the way you look at life and, importantly, yourself.
Making Changes will set you on the right path and beyond, opening doors to a wealth of different ways to live. We too once thought there was no hope, yet somewhere deep inside you, there is – and we'll turn that into reality.
Charities and their Service Users
At Making Changes, we want to make sure that the most vulnerable people in society have access to our programme and we are able to achieve this by partnering with Charities, who commission us so that we can deliver Making Changes to their service users.
We typically deliver the programme to a group of service users who are referred to us by the charity’s key workers and the programme takes twelve months with one group session a week. Each person receives a handbook to carry out the exercises and has access to multimedia lectures which we collectively watch and discuss in group. Most of the Charities we work with do have their own addiction recovery programmes too – Making Changes should not be seen as competition to these services and in many cases, they complement each other. Our main objective is to help Charities have a greater portfolio of services to offer their service users and there are many unique aspects to Making Changes that you won’t find in other recovery programmes.
For any Charities who are interested in working with us please get in touch and we can take you through the process and our experience in delivering the programme through other Charity services.
